DIY Natural Electrolyte Drink

What's the best way to hydrate before and after a Bikram Yoga Class?

Firstly, hydration begins at least a day before class and continues after your first class.  The 90 minutes allotted to your class time is usually not sufficient time to deliver proper hydration to all of the body and its systems.  The process of hydration happens long before and then continues after class.

Make sure to not only drink water, but also to replenish your salts and electrolytes.  Here is a do-it-yourself easy and natural electrolyte drink:

  • 1 cup coconut water.
  • 1 cup filtered water.
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey.
  • 1 lemon or 1.5 limes (squeezed juice)
  • 1/8 teaspoon unprocessed sea salt.
